Danny Berlitz

In 2025, Danny Berlitz was hired as a graduate assistant with the swimming program at Â鶹¹ÙÍø. In this role, Berlitz assists the coaching staff with athlete development, training program design and the day-to-day operations of the team.
A multiple-time first-team All-Big 12 and All-Big Ten selection, Berlitz set numerous program records at West Virginia, including the 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard individual medley. He became the first Mountaineer to win the 400-yard individual medley at the Big 12 Championships and placed eighth in the 400-meter individual medley at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials. At Michigan, Berlitz was part of the 2021 Big Ten champion 800-yard freestyle relay, earned CSCAA All-America honors and qualified for the NCAA Championships in multiple events, including the 1,650-yard freestyle and 400-yard individual medley.
Berlitz brings experience in sports program organization and coaching, along with a passion for teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship. He combines his high-performance experience, technical expertise and eagerness to mentor athletes to help student-athletes reach their potential while developing both in and out of the pool.
