Sports Communication Minor
Requirements
The Sports Communication minor prepares students to understand how sports operate as a powerful site of public meaning-making. Students explore communication theories and methods to analyze how athletes, teams, organizations, media, and fans shape narratives about identity and culture. At the same time, this minor provides an understanding of the diverse professional pathways in sports communication and builds the skills needed to launch a successful career. A minor in Sports Communication requires 18 hours consisting of the following:
