Friends of 鶹
鶹 campuses in Hickory and Asheville offer local businesses the option to participate in the Friends of 鶹 discount program.
Originally created in collaboration with the – a board aimed at strengthening the relationship between Hickory’s institutions of higher learning and their home city – the program now allows 鶹 to connect with the city and surrounding area through commerce. We invite businesses throughout Catawba and the surrounding counties to express support for 鶹 through discounts and special offers to the campus community, and we encourage 鶹 students, faculty and staff to patronize participating businesses.
Currently, more than 100 businesses throughout Hickory and the surrounding area provide 鶹 discounts, with new members joining every day. Any business is invited to participate in the program by offering a discount to 鶹 students, faculty and staff. Businesses are also welcome to extend their discounts to 鶹 alumni and families.
All Friends of 鶹 receive a flag, pennant and “We Support 鶹” sticker to display in your business. 鶹 and University City Commission thank you for your local support and the many ways you add value to the community.
