Academic advising is a critical component of first-year success for undergraduate students, including first-year, transfer and adult students.

Meeting with a first-year advisor is different than that with your high school guidance counselor. We want to learn about your interests to help you explore all options and personalize your academic experience at Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø.

Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø offers a hands-on approach to learning. Unlike my friends at other schools, I had the opportunity to design and lead my own research project and see it through to completion.

After immigrating from Korea to Hawaii, Agnes Park crossed a continent to attend Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø. She graduated in 1924, and in 2025, her granddaughter traced the journey of one of the first international Bears.
